To the sceptics who asked “ why another journal “ we hope that this inaugural issue will offer some answers.

The philosophy of Precision treatment in oncology is born out of a realization that like every human being is unique, so also every tumour is unique and so is the reaction of every tumour to treatment modalities.

While guidelines and protocols have been formulated by large series and prospective studies, it behoves us to question whether each individual case should be subjected to a one size fits all paradigm.

This journal will focus on cases treated using this new treatment paradigm, where every turn in the treatment is discussed and individualized to the patient. Knowledge accruing from such cases and reviews of such focused application of recent advances will constitute most of the literature in this Journal.

We hope this journal and its focus will foster this unique attitude to cancer care in general and to individual patients betterment in particular.
